Merino, Women, above the knee underpants

Why our Merino? The merinos are regarded as having the finest and softest wool of any sheep. The fiber is strong, elastic, soft and nice on the skin and great humid transfer. The fabric will take away your sweat, leaving your skin as dry as quickly as possible. Cotton, for example, absorb the sweat, but stays wet. We specialize in producing thermal underwear from 100% merino and from blended merino yarns. We knit on RIB knitting which produce elastic fabric, so we do not need to add Lycra like with the Jersey knitting. The merino underwear fit also the hot summer days, stabilizing the skin temperature and also keeping it dry. For those qualities, the merino is best for sports. Especially for outdoor sports like, ski, hiking, bicycling, football, etc. Enjoy

Merino wool is common in high-end, performance athletic wear. Typically meant for use in running, hiking, skiing, mountain climbing, cycling, and in other types of outdoor aerobic exercise, these clothes command a premium over synthetic fabrics.

Several properties contribute to merino's popularity for exercise clothing, compared to wool in general and to other types of fabric:

    • The Merino fabric stabilize body temperature, especially when worn against the skin. The merino fabric provides warmth, without overheating the wearer, and it draws the sweat away from the skin.
    •          Like cotton, wool absorbs water (up to 1/3 its weight), but, unlike cotton, wool retains warmth when wet,  thus helping wearers avoid hypothermia after strenuous workouts (climbs) or weather events.
    •          The merino has naturall antibacterial properties.
    •          The merino is the softest sheep wool available, due to it's finer fibers.
    •          Merino has an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio compared to other wools, in part because the smaller fibers have microscopic cortices of dead air, trapping body heat similar to the way a sleeping bag warms its occupant.  We use 19.5 micron fibers, and deffernt G/SM (Grams per Square Meter), which you can choose from.

    Enjoy!
